Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for wear monitoring of a pipe and to a method for wear monitoring of a pipe using an apparatus (100) of that kind comprising an inner pipe (110) adapted to be brought into fluid communication with the pipe to be monitored, an outer pipe (120) encompassing at least an axial portion of the inner pipe (110), wherein a space (115) between the outer pipe (120) and the inner pipe (110) is adapted to be vacuumed and/or pressurised with a predetermined pressure value, and a pressure evaluation unit (130) adapted to evaluate whether a pressure in the space (115) between the outer pipe (120) and the inner pipe (110) reaches a predetermined threshold value.
