Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a cleaning method and to a cleaning device (10) for cleaning at least one fracture face (88, 89) of a workpiece (80) produced by fracturing, the cleaning device (10) having at least one vibration device (40) for generating vibrations in the workpiece (80) and a workpiece holder (20) for holding the workpiece (80). According to the invention, the workpiece holder (20) has a support part (21) onto which the workpiece (80) is placed and a holding-down element (30) opposite the support part (21), between which the workpiece (80) is held with vertical play (33), and the vibration device (40) has a vibration drive (41) and a driver (44) driven by the vibration drive (41) for accelerating the workpiece (80) in the direction of the holding-down element (30), so that the workpiece (80) impacts the holding-down element (30) and impurities (98) fall off the fracture face (88, 89).
