Zusammenfassung:	According to an aspect, there is provided an apparatus for compensating pulsating light, the apparatus comprising: a processing unit configured to receive, from a light sensor, a signal indicative of light incident on a subject; process the received signal to determine if the incident light is pulsating; determine one or more parameters for light that is to be emitted between pulses in the incident light to reduce the overall temporal variation of the light incident on the subject if it is determined that the incident light is pulsating; and control one or more light sources to emit light between the pulses in the incident light according to the determined one or more parameters.
