A plurality of gas passage openings (38) are provided in a wall (36) of the mixer body (32) enclosing a volume of gas to be introduced (42) in the mixer body (32). The mixer body (32) is configured with a flattened cross-sectional profile, flattened obliquely to the body longitudinal axis (L).
