Zusammenfassung:	A unit (5) for moulding preforms (2), that comprises: a mould carrier (38) incorporating at least one mould body (39); a movable assembly (64) including a carriage (65) and a core holder (67) mounted on the carriage (65), which is mounted so as to be movable in translation between: a moulding position in which a core (68) is inserted into the mould body (39), and a demoulding position in which the core (68) is separated from the mould body (39), a frame (24) that is movable in translation relative to the structure (20) between: a lowered position in which the carriage (65) is immobilised in the moulding position of same, and a raised position in which the carriage (65) is immobilised in a retracted position in which the core (68) is partially accommodated in the mould body (39).
