Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for balancing a vacuum pump rotor or a vacuum pump rotation unit rotor, the rotor being rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation with respect to a stator of the vacuum pump or the rotary unit by means of at least one magnetic bearing, in particular a permanent magnet bearing, the method comprises the following steps: measuring, in particular measuring, the imbalance of the rotor on the plane of the magnetic bearing, and moving and adjusting the position of the axis of rotation as a function of the imbalance.
