The invention relates to an adjusting cylinder quick adjustment (9) for long, fast stroke movements in edging stands, at least consisting of edging stands (20), adjusting system, balancing system, and edging roll sets, comprising at least one piston each, which operates via edging roll chocks (32, 33) of at least one edging roll (31) on both sides for adjusting against the rolled material (11) and wherein the adjustment of the edging roll (31) can be actuated on each side hydraulically by means of a fluid and the adjusting cylinder quick adjustment (9) is fastened in the edging stand (20) and applies the force required for the edging process. According to the invention, the adjusting cylinder quick adjustment (9) on each side of the edging stand (20) consists of at least one double cylinder (50), wherein the double cylinder (50) consists of two separately controllable cylinders, coupled to each other, and is designed first of all for quick adjustment and second of all for control adjustment of the edging roll (31).
