Zusammenfassung:	The process for the production of leather-like material from leather processing scraps comprises the stages of: reduction of the scraps into fibers using mechanical means, preparation of a mixture of thermoplastic polymer and fibers, in which between 5 and 70 parts by weight of fibers are present for 100 parts by weight of thermoplastic polymer, introduction of the mixture into a twin-screw extruder, the end portion of which has a die, heating of the mixture in the twin-screw extruder to a temperature of between 80 and 220°C, so as to cause the thermoplastic polymer to melt and the mixture to be extruded through the die, and cooling of the mixture extruded to room temperature to obtain the leather-like material.
