Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a functional layer production method, in which plastic fibers are formed from at least one plastic starting material and the plastic fibers are deposited to form a fibrous web or a nonwoven fabric, as well as to a functional layer, which comprises at least one fibrous web or a nonwoven fabric made of deposited plastic fibers, and a fiber-reinforced composite material made of at least one functional layer. The invention further relates to a yarn production method, in which plastic fibers are formed from at least one plastic starting material and the plastic fibers are spun into a yarn, and to a yarn which is at least partially formed from spun plastic fibers. In order to be able to achieve lower costs and provide increased functionality for the mentioned methods, the functional layer, the fiber-reinforced composite material and the yarn, the invention proposes that at least one material or material mixture which is solid to 40°C is used as the plastic starting material, the plastic starting material is melted to a plastic mass and the plastic mass is held in a processing temperature range in which the plastic mass remains flowable, and the plastic fibers are formed from the plastic mass without initiation of a chemical curing reaction and three-dimensional crosslinking of the plastic compound to form a thermosetting resin in the processing temperature range. |
