Zusammenfassung:Method of configuring a near-field coupling device (150). Indications of a transponder type and a transponder position justification are received and one or more coupling elements (530, 541f, 541g, 541h) of the near-field coupling device (150) are connected, based on at least the transponder type and the transponder position justification, to configure an impedance ratio between the total characteristic impedance of the coupling elements and a terminating load (510) of the near-field coupling device. At least two of the coupling elements (530, 541f, 541g, 541h) have, in isolation, unique impedances.
