PNEUMATIC CLUTCH ACTUATOR

The invention is directed to a pneumatic clutch actuator, comprising:a housing assembly provided with a first housing member and a second housing member, the first housing member having an inner annulus disposed about a transmission input shaft, the first housing member being at least partially received within the second housing member;a bearing assembly at least partially received within the housing assembly and disposed about the inner annulus, the bearing assembly having a bearing carrier that supports a bearing;a piston assembly having a piston head and an extension extending from the piston head towards the bearing assembly; andan adjustment assembly disposed between and operatively connected to the bearing carrier and the piston head, the adjustment assembly arranged to adjust a distance between the piston assembly and the bearing assembly as the piston assembly moves between a first position and a second position to compensate for wear of a clutch assembly.
