Zusammenfassung:A seat for vehicles, in particular motor vehicles, with separate backrest and seat base, includes a seat base and a backrest. The seat base is separate from the backrest, and the seat base is constrained to the backrest so that the backrest base can rotate relative to the seat base. The seat base and backrest are each manufactured as one piece of metallic material in a single cold-molding process. At least one of the seat base and backrest includes an engagement edge configured for engaging, via mechanical interference, with a cover for the seat in order to retain the cover.
