SMOKE DETECTOR AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A SMOKE DETECTOR

The invention relates to a smoke detector (10) having a sensor system (50) for recognising an adjacent object (20), wherein signals can be transmitted and received by means of the sensor system, wherein a received signal can be evaluated to recognise an object. The sensor system comprises a plurality of transmitters (12-14). The smoke detector is attached to a mounting surface (24). The transmitters are oriented such that they emit in an oblique direction away from the smoke detector onto the mounting surface during operation. The invention also relates to a smoke detector system having a smoke detector according to the invention and a detector base (25) for the in particular detachable attachment of the smoke detector to the detector base. The latter is provided for fastening to a ceiling or wall. The detector base (25) is designed such that, when the smoke detector is attached, the detector base takes the place of the mounting surface (24) onto which the transmitters emit in an oblique direction away from the smoke detector.
