Zusammenfassung:	Methods and apparatus for controlling landing gear shrink are described. A controller is configured to determine that left and right main landing gears (106, 110) are not in contact with the ground surface, to determine that left and right engine speeds exceed given thresholds, to determine that left and right throttle levers for operating the engines (118, 120) are inclined to a certain level, to determine that left and right landing gears (106, 110) are not down locked, to determine up positions of the left and right landing gear retraction levers and to generate a control signal to shrink the left main landing gear (106) and the right main landing gear (110) based on said determinations.
