Zusammenfassung:	An object is to provide an expanded particle producing apparatus that is capable of obtaining homogeneous expanded particles and reducing the power required for stirring by achieving good vertical mixing in a vessel. Provided is an expanded particle producing apparatus in which a blade stirrer 5 is positioned such that the ratio L1/L2 of the distance L1 to the depth L2 is not less than 0.01 and not more than 0.2. The distance L1 is the distance from the bottom of the vessel 1 to the center of the stirrer base 4 of the blade stirrer 5 in the direction of the depth of the vessel 1, and the depth L2 is the depth of the vessel 1.
