Zusammenfassung:	An object of the present invention is to provide: a capacitor separator which not only has a high strength but also exhibits a low internal resistance when used in a capacitor; and a method of producing the same. The present invention relates to a capacitor separator comprising fibrillated fibers consisting of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin in an amount of not less than 30% by weight based on a total weight of the separator.
