Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to an arrangement in the form of an annular electric machine for operating a converter which is designed as a reluctance machine which is used as a switched or synchronous reluctance machine, in which by means of the arrangement of the stator of the at least one stator block in the radial, axial or combined embodiment relative to the rotor structure, - at least one stator block that only partially surrounds the annular rotor, - the windings are designed according to a tooth-wound coil design or are distributed solely on the stator region, - the rotor ring is disc-shaped or trumpet-shaped consisting of a support structure and laminated annular segments for guiding the flow, and the rotor sheet structure is likewise divided into segments in the circumferential length thereby forming recesses between the sheet metal segments and, as a result, the thermal expansion (thermal cycle) is decoupled in the air gap diameter and the winding system of the at least one stator block consists of at least two phases which can be supplied with current with at least one machine-side converter circuit per phase, - and the converter circuits have a synchronization possibility for phase energization.
