DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH A DIFFUSION PLATE SUPPORT MEMBER

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a light guide plate disposed behind the display panel and configured to guide light to the display panel, a light source configured to irradiate light to at least one side of the light guide plate, a diffusion plate disposed between the display panel and the light guide plate, and at least one diffusion plate support member coupled to the light guide plate and configured to support the diffusion plate. The light guide plate includes an optical pattern arranged in a light emitting surface facing the diffusion plate and at least one insertion hole which is formed in the light emitting surface for the at least one diffusion plate support member being inserted thereto. The optical pattern includes a pattern change region which surrounds at least a portion of the insertion hole.
