SAFETY DEVICE FOR SWITCH MACHINES

Safety device (100) for railroad switches (300) comprising a plurality of switch machines (1) configured to displace in a first displacement direction, or in a second displacement direction opposite to the first one, a first and a second switch point (101,102) between two limit positions. The safety device (100) provides a guide body (30) configured to be positioned at a railroad switch (300), a first and a second control tie-rod (41,42) slidingly mounted on the guide body (30) and having respective first ends (41a,42a) and second ends (41b,42b) opposite to the first ends, and, respectively, engaged to the first and to the second switch point (101,102). The first and the second control tie-rod (41,42) are, therefore, caused to translate by the switch points (101,102) between two respective limit positions when the switch machines displace the switch points (101,102) between the limit positions. An engagement group (60) is furthermore provided configured to move from an engagement configuration, in which is arranged to engage the first and the second control tie-rod (41,42) in such a way to form a sliding unit, to a disengagement configuration, in which the control tie-rods (41,42) are free to translate one with respect to the other
