METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A HORSESHOE

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a custom-made horseshoe that is to fit the shape of a specific horse's hoof for which it is made. According to the invention, upon obtaining a digital image (14) of at least one portion of a hoof to be shod, the following steps are carried out: a) an image of a horseshoe (15) and the aforementioned digital image (14) are superimposed on each other in order to insert the horseshoe into the digital image (14); b) the size and/or the shape of the horseshoe in the image is/are adapted to the hoof to be shod; and c) the size and/or the shape of the horseshoe is/are adjusted in the image taking into account at least physical parameters specific to the horse and/or the activity that the horse is expected to perform as well as any disease such as an inflamed region and/or a region in which blood circulation is reduced on the foot of the horse whose hoof is to be shod.
