FAR SIDE AIRBAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

A far side airbag apparatus for a vehicle is provided. An airbag of the far side airbag apparatus is installed on a side of a frame of a backrest toward the internal center of the vehicle such that the airbag is expanded and spread between at least two backrests arranged in the width direction of the vehicle. The airbag comprises an inner portion facing a passenger seated in the opposite direction of a collision side and an outer portion facing toward the internal center of the vehicle upon collision of the vehicle. With such a configuration, it is possible to prevent a passenger who is seated in the direction opposite to the collision side from suddenly moving toward the front and the internal center of the vehicle upon a vehicle collision, for example, a vehicle side oblique collision, thereby preventing the airbag from falling out of the protection range. Accordingly, it is possible to effectively prevent the collision between passengers seated in a driver's seat and a passenger seat.
