A TEXTILE-BASED PROTECTOR AND A METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

The invention relates to a textile-based protector (1) for protecting at least one of clothing and skin of a user comprising a multilayered waterproof body (2) that comprises at least two bonded layers and that has an average drape coefficient in a range from 45% to 90%, wherein a first layer (3) of said body has a first surface (4) and a second surface (5), the first layer comprising a waterproof synthetic membrane, and a second layer (6) of said body has a third surface (7) and a fourth surface (8), the fourth surface being bonded to the first surface of the first layer, the second layer comprising one of a synthetic textile and a textile blend comprising at least 75% synthetic textile, wherein at least the third surface of the second layer that faces away from the first surface of the first layer has a surface roughness of at most 8 µm and is provided with a hydrophilic finishing agent (9), wherein the third surface of the second layer is at least partially provided with a high-resolution printed design (10) and is arranged to face away from at least one of clothing and the skin of the user when the user uses the textile-based protector. The invention also relates to a method for fabricating the textile-based protector according to the invention.
