The invention relates to an optical arrangement for a headlight, comprising at least one laser light source (1) and a diffractive optical element (3) which is designed to diffract light emitted by the laser light source (1) into a plurality of diffraction orders, wherein a predominant part of the light is diffracted into the first diffraction order (6b). The optical arrangement further comprises at least one aperture (7) for the absorption of light in diffraction orders (6a, 6c, 6d) outside of the first diffraction order (6b). The invention further relates to a headlight, in particular a motor vehicle headlight, comprising said optical arrangement.
