Zusammenfassung:	The invention consists of a floor (8) of a motor vehicle (2) comprising: a central tunnel (10); at least one longitudinal side rail member (12) arranged along and some distance away from the central tunnel; at least one wall (14) extending transversely from the central tunnel as far as the longitudinal side rail member or one of the longitudinal side rail members; and one or more profile sections (16) extending transversely on the or at least one of the walls between the tunnel (10) and the corresponding longitudinal side rail member (12). The floor further comprises antisubmarining means (18) preventing the or at least one of the profile sections from submarining under the corresponding longitudinal side rail member in the event of a side impact, the said means being able to create a connection between the longitudinal side rail member and the profile section or sections during the said impact. The invention also consists of a motor vehicle comprising such a floor.
