A bead breaker device (2) for removing a tyre (8) from a rim (6) of a wheel (4) comprises a support structure (10) and a bead breaker arm (12) which is pivotably fixed to the support structure (10) by a joint (20). Said joint (20) is linearly movable with respect to the support structure (10).
