Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an application method for the length-adjusted attachment of a strip-shaped elastic profile (11) to a workpiece (51), in particular a vehicle body, by a manipulator-guided applicator tool (10). The applicator tool (10) comprises at least one position mark sensor (15, 16) for detecting position marks (12) on the profile (11) and a deformation device (17) for stretching or compressing the profile (11). The position marks (12) on the profile (11) are detected by at least one position mark sensor (15, 16) and the length deformation of the profile (11) is controlled as a function of the detection of the position marks. The profile (11) is applied on the workpiece (51) under a controlled supply of the profile (11) in a length-adjusted manner. The invention further relates to a provision device (40) for providing and transferring a profile (11) provided with position marks and to a working device (40) comprising a manipulator (30) and an applicator tool (10).
