Zusammenfassung:	The subject of the present invention is a device (3) for protecting an optical sensor (13) of a driver-assistance system (1) for a motor vehicle, the optical sensor (13) comprising an optic (14), and the protecting device (3) including: an optical element (9) that is configured to be positioned upstream of the optic (14) of the optical sensor (13) and mounted so as to be movable about an axis of rotation (A1); and an actuator (5) that is configured to rotate the optical element (9), characterized in that the protecting device (3) further includes: at least one heating component (7) that is configured to heat the optical element (9) so as to defog or defrost this optical element (9); and an induction system (8) that is configured to supply power to the heating component (7).
