Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for detecting an identification medium (2) in a communication range (1.1.1) of an antenna (1.1) of a near-field communication read/write unit (1.2) for sending and receiving radio-frequency signals, wherein - a transmission path, connected to the antenna (1.1), and the antenna (1.1) are used to periodically or non-periodically transmit a polling signal with a prescribed power value, - after a defined time delay from the start of transmission of the polling signal a signal change is recorded at the antenna (1.1), - the recorded signal change is compared with at least one reference signal (RS1, RS2) and - a communication signal for detecting an identification medium (2) is sent if the recorded signal change differs from the at least one reference signal (RS1, RS2). The invention provides for the signal change to be recorded and evaluated at at least two times after the transmission of the polling signal, wherein - the signal change is sampled with at least two different amplitudes and/or phases, - the signal change is compared with the applicable different reference signals (RS1, RS2), and - the communication signal for detecting the identification medium (2) is sent if the recorded signal change is below two prescribed tripping thresholds (SW1, SW2).
