One example aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method for providing communication over a plurality of networks. The method can include intercepting a message from a communication management unit (202,302) located on a vehicle (1000) to a first transmitter (150) located on the vehicle (1000), wherein the communication management unit (202,302) is configured to manage communications over the first network, and wherein the first transmitter (150) is configured to communicate over the first network. The method can include initiating a communication session with the first transmitter (150) and a second transmitter (150) located on the vehicle (1000), wherein the second transmitter (150) is configured to communicate over a second network. The method can include routing the message among the first transmitter (150) and the second transmitter (150), wherein the communication management unit (202,302) is unaware of the second transmitter (150).
