Zusammenfassung:	A fixture for supporting an object on a build platform of an additive manufacturing (AM) system is disclosed. The fixture includes a body having an upper surface shaped to support the object to be manufactured thereon by the AM system and a lower portion configured to be mounted to a build platform of the AM system. The body includes a hollow portion therein. The fixture is lighter than conventional AM substrates and enables post-manufacturing processes to be carried out with the fixture attached to the object. The fixture can be initially additively manufactured with the object, but can also be removed and reused for building subsequent objects.
