Zusammenfassung:	A domestic appliance 10, in particular a tumble dryer, comprising a condensate-collecting tank 20 and a condensate drip tray 40 as well as a control device 30, which is designed to sense a filling level of the condensate-collecting tank 20 and/or of the condensate drip tray 40, wherein the control device 30 incorporates at least one comparison value, and wherein the control device 30 is designed to compare the filling level or filling levels with the at least one comparison value, and wherein the control device 30 is designed so that, when the filling level reaches, exceeds or falls below the at least one comparison value, the control device gives out a time slot for emptying the condensate-collecting tank 20.
