Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a parking system for a vehicle, which performs a parallel parking maneuver in a space having no parking line and includes : an object detection apparatus configured to generate information about at least one nearby vehicle which is already parked; and a processor configured to: set an edge point of the at least one nearby vehicle based on the generated information, set a virtual reference line based on the edge point, and provide a control signal so that the vehicle is parallel parked with a body thereof having passed the virtual reference line.
