INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE ARRANGEMENT AND OPERATION THEREOF

Internal combustion engine arrangement comprising an internal combustion engine (ICE), a turbocharger (TC) comprising a turbine (TB) and a compressor (TCP) and a variable compressor (ESC) arranged between the internal combustion engine and said compressor (TCP) and control means (ECU) arranged to control said variable compressor according to at least one of the following options: 1) to throttle the intake, on the basis of at least one component temperature of an After-treatment system (ATS) connected to said exhaust line, in order to warm up said ATS component; 2) to control a rack position of the turbine having variable geometry in order to maintain the turbocharger in an optimal operating condition and to control said variable compressor so as to achieve a predetermined combustion engine boost level.
