Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a semi-finished product (1) for producing a hollow profiled section (7). The semi-finished product (1) has a width which is greater than the periphery of the hollow profiled section (7). The semi-finished product has a metal substrate (2) which comprises a first connection region (3) and a second connection region (4, 4') that are brought into contact with each other during the production of a hollow profiled section (7). The invention is characterized in that the first and/or second connection region (3, 4, 4') is coated with a thermoplastic coupling layer (5, 5'). The invention also relates to a hollow profiled section made of said semi-finished product and to a method for producing such a hollow profiled section.
