According to the invention, each pad (8) has an L-shaped cross section, which comprises a lower support (8a) and an upper support (8b), wherein the lower support is disposed at the height of a lower longitudinal portion (2b) of a corresponding impact absorber (2) and abuts against a bumper skin (6) and a transverse beam (1), and the upper support is disposed at the height of an upper longitudinal portion (2a) of the impact absorber (2) and abuts against the transverse beam (1) and is spaced apart from the bumper skin (6). The invention can be applied to the field of motor vehicles.
