Zusammenfassung:	The invention is related to a compressor (100) for a gas turbine, wherein the compressor (100) comprises a plurality of main disks (110) and at least one reinforcing disk (120) being arranged in a space between adjacent main disks (110). The main disks (110) comprise side supports (112). The reinforcing disk (120) comprises mounting parts (121) for being mounted to the side supports (112) of the main disks (110). The reinforcing disk (120) further comprises a plurality of passages (130) extending from a radially outer side to a radially inner side for guiding cooling air from the compresssor (100) to the shaft and turbine section of the gas turbine. The reinforcing disk (120) also comprises a swelling part (122) having a shape conforming to the space between the adjacent main compressor disks (110). Thus, the compressor (100) is structurally reinforced while decreasing internal extraction pressure drop thereby improving its performance.
