Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus (100) for measuring the thickness of a component comprises a pin (105), a stop (115), a spring (120), one or more flanges (125), a measurement device (130), and a transmitter (145). The pin comprises a first end (135) configured for insertion in an aperture in a component. The stop (115) is slidably engaged with the pin (105) and configured to contact a first surface of the component as the pin (105) is inserted into the aperture in the component. The spring (120) couples the stop (115) to the housing (110). The one or more flanges (125) are located proximate to the first end (135) of the pin (105). The one or more flanges (125) are configured to contact a second surface of the component. The measurement device (130) is coupled to the pin (105). The transmitter (145) is communicatively coupled to the measurement device (130). A method for measuring the thickness of the component with the above mentioned apparatrus is also disclosed.
