CASTING STARTING DEVICE OF A CONTINUOUS CASTING LINE AND OPERATION THEREOF

The invention relates to a casting device (7) of a continuous casting line (1). The casting device (7) comprises a startup section (17) having a startup section head (19), which is designed to seal a die output (13) of a die (3) at the start of continuous casting and forms a first startup section end of the startup section (17), a lifting device (21), which can be detachably connected to a second startup section end (27) of the startup section (17), for lifting the startup section (17) on the second startup section end (27), and at least one connecting element (25) for connecting a casting section head (10) of the casting section (9) to the startup section head (19) via a detachable connection of a first section (31) of the connection element (25) to the startup section head (19) and a fixed connection of a second section (33) of the connection element (25) to the casting section head (10) by molding the second section (33).
