Zusammenfassung:	The method is used for detecting one failure in a burner of a combustor 3 of a turbine system 1; the combustor 3 comprises a plurality of burners 32 arranged annularly; the turbine system 1 comprises a turbine 4, 5 downstream of the combustor 3, the method comprising the steps of: A) providing a plurality of temperature sensors 52 arranged annularly at the outlet of the turbine 5, B) detecting a plurality of temperatures through the plurality of temperature sensors 52, C) calculating 6 a temperature spread indicator as a function of the plurality of temperatures, and D) carrying out 6 a comparison the said temperature spread indicator and a threshold; a positive result of this comparison indicates a burner failure.
