Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a cleaning device (1), particularly a household vacuum cleaner, comprising a fan (2) and a pressure sensor (3) for determining a negative pressure generated by said fan (2). In order to obtain a cleaning device which achieves the best possible cleaning result with as little flow resistance as possible in the attachment, the pressure sensor (3) should be an absolute pressure sensor. The invention also relates to a method for operating a cleaning device (1), in which a suction power of said cleaning device (1) is varied depending on a determined flow resistance of an attachment (7) of said cleaning device (1).
