Zusammenfassung:An inductor assembly (1) is disclosed comprising a magnetic core (2) with a center leg (3) and a number n of phase legs (4), wherein n is an integer and n>1, each phase leg (4) being magnetically connected to the center leg (3) by an upper bridge (13) and a lower bridge (13) to form a magnetic main loop, a midpoint (5) of the phase leg (4) being magnetically connected to a center point of the center leg (3) by a shunt element (6) comprising a gap (7). Each phase leg (4) further comprises an upper inductor coil (8) disposed on an upper phase leg section (10) located between the midpoint and the upper bridge (13) and a lower inductor coil (9) disposed on a lower phase leg section (11) located between the midpoint and the lower bridge (13). Alternatively, the upper and lower inductor coils (8, 9) are disposed on respective upper and lower bridges (13). The upper inductor coil (8) comprises a first terminal (20) and a second terminal (21), and the lower inductor coil (9) comprises a third terminal (22) and a fourth terminal (23). The second terminal of the upper inductor coil (8) and the third terminal of the lower inductor coil (9) are connected to each other in order to form a series connection of the upper inductor coil (8) and the lower inductor coil (9). A winding direction of the upper inductor coil (8) relative a winding direction of the lower inductor coil (9) is such that a current flowing from the first terminal (20) of the upper inductor coil (8) to the fourth terminal (23) of the lower inductor coil (9) generates a magnetic flux (24, 25) for each one of the upper inductor coil (8) and the lower inductor coil (9) that are superposing constructively within the respective phase leg (4).. A power supply system (30, 60) that may be operated as a DC/AC-converter or a DC/DC-converter is also disclosed.
