Zusammenfassung:The invention presents an instrument (5) and apparatus (6) and a system for characterization of a condition of a vessel (12) wall of a living being (2). The instrument (5) comprises a pressure sensor (521) and a flow sensor (522), wherein the pressure sensor (521) and the flow sensor (522) are located such as to provide temporal pressure (621) and flow (622) measurements in a same transversal plane (526) of the instrument (5). The health of the vessel (12) wall is derived based on the relationship between temporal blood pressure (621) and blood flow (622) measurements of pulsatile blood motion within the vessel (12), which measurements are provided by the instrument (5).
