SYSTEM FOR HARVESTING ASPARAGUS IN GROUND

The invention relates to a method and system for harvesting asparagus in ground. The system comprises a cutting tool connectable to an actuator, movable, controlled by said actuator, relative to an asparagus, for performing localized harvesting of the asparagus. During localized harvesting, the cutting tool is moved by the actuator to a cutting depth for cutting the asparagus. The cutting tool comprises a cutting edge part and a linkage connecting the cutting edge part to the actuator, in order to exert a cutting movement of the cutting edge part from a rest position to a cutting position. The linkage comprises at least one link arm with a catch structure for catching the asparagus when exerting the cutting movement.
