Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device (10) for monitoring the triggering of an idle speed control of a heat engine of a motor vehicle with a gearbox, the device comprising means for receiving a current value of engine speed (100) and an identification of the gear ratio engaged (110), and means for triggering the idle control in order to avoid stalling the engine when triggering conditions (190, 192) are met. The device also comprises means for restricting, in reaction to the start of an upward gear shift, the conditions for triggering (190, 192) the idle speed control if the speed value (100) at the start of the gear shift is higher than an initial speed threshold selected in accordance with the gear ratio (110) engaged at the start of the gear shift.
