According to the invention, at least one driving dynamic information in regard to the commercial vehicle, and particularly a motor tractor (2) of a commercial vehicle-tow truck (1) and/or trailer/semitrailer (3) is extracted from the video camera images (10,15) ofat least one video camera (6,7) of the commercial vehicle and particularly oriented from the vehicle longitudinal direction with the help of an image processing apparatus.
