Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a body-building apparatus comprising a frame and at least one load (5) which is moved back and forth by the user, the apparatus comprising at least one pneumatic cylinder that provides the load compensation during at least part of the movement. According to the invention, the apparatus also comprises a system for detecting the movement of the load which controls the compensation applied by the cylinder according to the detection of the movement.
