Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a document-verifying device (100) for verifying a document (101), comprising: a detecting device (103) for detecting (301) document data of the document (101); a communications interface (107) designed to retrieve a verification definition from a communications server positioned at a distance, via a communications network, wherein said verification definition defines at least one verification feature of the document (101); and a processor (105) designed to verify the verification feature in accordance with said verification definition using the detected document data, for the purpose of verifying the document (101).
