Zusammenfassung:	According to the present invention, a combustion engine (1) is provided comprising: a spark plug (2) for igniting an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber (4), and a control device (24) capable of controlling sparking actions of the spark plug (2), wherein the control device (24) is configured to selectively carry out a spark-ignition stroke in which the air-fuel mixture is spark-ignited by the spark plug (2), and an activation stroke in which an ignition timing of the spark plug (2) is varied compared to the spark-ignition stroke, the activation stroke advantageously increasing or decreasing a tendency toward a no-spark combustion in a cycle of the combustion engine following the activation stroke.
