Zusammenfassung:	The disclosure relates to a coating system for coating components with a coating agent, in particular a painting system for painting motor vehicle bodywork components, comprising a first coating system component (12, 13) which during operation produces waste heat as a by-product and forms a heat source, and a second coating system component (1, 5) which is heated during operation and forms a heat sink. The disclosure provides that the waste heat of the first coating system component (12, 13) is fed to the second coating system component (1, 5) for heating. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding operating method.
