Zusammenfassung:	A configurable controller for a lighting arrangement or assembly is adapted to control or change an output characteristic of the lighting arrangement in response to a user input received at a user interface. The configurable controller limits the amount to which a user input at the user interface may adjust the output characteristics by storing a range of selectable or presently available values for the output characteristic. This range of selectable values is adjustable based upon a configuration input received from a remote device at a communication unit.
